The man who owns over 2,000 corvettes and only parks one of them in his garage is named Charles Mallon. Interestingly enough, Mallon keeps all his corvettes in his basement in dozens of tote bags except for one – he keeps his 2005 LeMans Blue C6 in the garage. After many years of collecting the small toy corvettes, Mallon turned his hobby into a goal for a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records. In June of 2012 Mallons dream came true, when he won the “Guinness World Record for the largest collection of Chevrolet Memorabilia.” In an interview Mallon said, “I started serious collection when I was 14 years old – I would bring home three models, then five models, and you carried away. I’m into cars of all shapes and sizes, but growing up it was probably the look and the sound of the Corvette. It’s America’s sport car.”
