This is not the first time that the Chevrolet Traverse has made the Edmunds.com and Parents magazine list for 10 Best Family Cars, and it won’t be the last. In fact, for the second consecutive year, the Traverse model has made it on the list. The two publishers focus on safety when picking out the top ten vehicles because they believe it is one of the most important things to consider when buying a family vehicle. Moreove, the Traverse can push 288 horses and maintain an average of 24 MPG on the highway. “Traverse’s winning combination blends the capability and roominess of a traditional SUV with the attributes of a crossover, including a car-like driving experience, low step-in height and good efficiency on the highway,” said Steve Majoros, Chevy’s Marketing Director.
